About Xel Ha
Xel-Ha is an all inclusive adventure park located about 90 miles south of Cancun, Mexico and very close to Tulum.
The park offers lots of fun things to do. One of the most popular is snorkeling in the clear, calm lagoon teeming with colorful fish of all sizes. The lagoon has lots of small islands making it easy to island hop as you snorkel giving you the feeling that you never too far away from shore. There are no currents or waves making this the perfect spot for beginners. All snorkeling equipment is included with your all inclusive entry.
Other activities include a lazy river tube ride, cliff jumping, rope swings into the water, hiking trails, zip lines, open bar and restaurants with unlimited food and drinks, including alcohol. You can also relax on the beach in comfortable wood lounge chairs and enjoy the gorgeous views or take a nap in a hammock.
Cancun Weather
The weather in Cancun ranges from pleasant in the winter to very hot and humid in the summer. The least amount of rain occurs between December and May. The intense heat and humidity starts in June and continues through the summer well into September.
Hurricane season starts in June and runs through October with a slight chance of a storm in November. October has the most rain and December and January has the most wind.
Temperatures range from the upper 70s in the winter to the high 80s, and occasionally the low 90s, in the summer. I have found that the best time to visit is in February and March. This time of the year has the least amount of rain, wind and humidity and it warm but not overly hot. In addition, kids are still in school and the spring break crowd has not arrived yet.
If your plans include exploring the Mayan ruins, located inland from Cancun, it is strongly recommended to avoid the hot and humid months because the temperatures and humidity increase significantly as compared to the beach communities.
