About the Krystal Hotel and Resort

Located in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone, Krystal Hotel and Resort offers a relaxing beachfront getaway. Situated along the white sands of the Caribbean Sea, the resort provides breathtaking ocean views. Guests can step directly onto the beach from the property.

The hotel is close to Cancun’s best shopping and nightlife. La Isla Shopping Village, with its luxury stores and local boutiques, is only minutes away. Market 28, known for handcrafted souvenirs, is also within easy reach.

Rooms and suites at Krystal Hotel and Resort are designed for comfort. Many feature private balconies with ocean or lagoon views. Modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and mini-bars are included. Some suites even offer whirlpool tubs for extra relaxation.

Several dining options are available on-site. El Mortero serves traditional Mexican cuisine, while Las Velas offers fresh seafood. Guests can also enjoy a buffet-style meal at Aquamarina or grab a quick snack at the beachside bar.

For adventure seekers, plenty of activities are nearby. Snorkeling and diving excursions are offered along the coral reefs. The famous Mayan ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itza can be visited on a day trip. Moreover, boat tours to Isla Mujeres provide a fun escape.

Cancun Weather

The weather in Cancun ranges from pleasant in the winter to very hot and humid in the summer.  The least amount of rain occurs between December and May.  The intense heat and humidity starts in June and continues through the summer well into September.

Hurricane season starts in June and runs through October with a slight chance of a storm in November.  October has the most rain and December and January has the most wind.

Temperatures range from the upper 70s in the winter to the high 80s, and occasionally the low 90s, in the summer.  I have found that the best time to visit is in February and March.  This time of the year has the least amount of rain, wind and humidity and is warm but not overly hot.  In addition, kids are still in school and the spring break crowd has not arrived yet.

If your plans include exploring the Mayan ruins, located in the center of the Yucatan Peninsula and east from Cancun, it is strongly recommended to avoid the hot and humid months because the temperatures and humidity increase significantly as compared to the beach communities.
