About the Hotel Presidente Cozumel
Located on the western coast of Cozumel, Hotel Presidente offers a peaceful beachfront retreat. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, the hotel provides breathtaking ocean views and a small, private white-sand beach just steps away.
Spacious rooms and suites are designed with comfort in mind. Private balconies allow guests to admire the scenery. Many rooms provide direct beach or garden access. Modern amenities, including air conditioning and Wi-Fi, enhance the stay.
Dining options at the hotel are excellent. Guests can enjoy gourmet meals at Le Cap Beach Club or international dishes at El Caribeño. Fresh seafood and Mexican cuisine are served daily. Refreshing cocktails are available at the poolside bar.
Downtown Cozumel is just a short drive away and offers shopping and entertainment. Authentic Mexican markets and luxury boutiques line the streets.
Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular due to the vibrant coral reefs. Excursions to ancient Mayan ruins such as Coba, Tulum and Chichen Itza are also available.
Cancun Weather
The weather in Cozumel is similar to Cancun and ranges from pleasant in the winter to very hot and humid in the summer. The least amount of rain occurs between December and May. The intense heat and humidity starts in June and continues through the summer well into September.
Hurricane season starts in June and runs through October with a slight chance of a storm in November. October has the most rain and December and January has the most wind.
Temperatures range from the upper 70s in the winter to the high 80s, and occasionally the low 90s, in the summer. I have found that the best time to visit is in February and March. This time of the year has the least amount of rain, wind and humidity and is warm but not overly hot. In addition, kids are still in school and the spring break crowd has not arrived yet.
If your plans include exploring the Mayan ruins, located in the center of the Yucatan Peninsula and east from Cancun, it is strongly recommended to avoid the hot and humid months because the temperatures and humidity increase significantly as compared to the beach communities.
