About the Lawai Beach Resort
The beautiful Lawai Beach Resort is located on the peaceful, southern shore of Kauai, Hawaii. The resort offers spacious one and two bedroom condo suites rentals with your choice of a garden or ocean view. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, complimentary wifi, king size beds with two twin beds in the second bedroom, two large televisions and a washer and dryer in each unit. There are three swimming pools along with spa, miniature golf, tennis courts and a gym.
The Lawai Beach resort is also only a few miles away from famous Poipu beach. Poipu beach is crescent shaped with some areas that more protected from waves than others. Portions of the beach are ideal for families as the rocky points and nearby offshore reefs help provide protection form the waves.
Water conditions can vary and there are times when the ocean can become unsafe, even in normally calm areas. It is important to always check the local conditions before heading out. Also keep in mind, that ocean conditions can change quickly and what is calm one minute, can become dangerous the next.
The water temperature ranges between 72 in the winter/spring and 80 degrees in the summer/fall.
Poipu Weather
The weather in Poipu is absolutely gorgeous throughout the year. Poipu gets less rain and has more sun than other areas of Kauai. However this area still gets an average of 2 to 3 inches per month which keeps everything lush and green.
The weather is warm and mild throughout the year. High temperatures range from the 70s to the 80s and lows from the 60s to the 70s.
Afternoon showers are common and provides a nice cool down from the intense sun.
The most rain occurs in the winter and spring months from December to April.
Tropical storms and hurricanes can influence the weather during the summer months from June to October. While a direct hit is rare, they do happen. Kauai sits at the western end of the Hawaiian chain of islands and is in open water with no protection.
