This area of Kauai consistently receives rain throughout the entire year. The late fall and winter months see the most but there is ample rain in the spring and summer to keep everything lush and green.
High temperatures range from the mid 70s to the mid 80s and lows in the 60s and 70s.
Tropical storms and hurricanes can influence the weather during the summer months from June to October. While a direct hit is rare, they do happen. Hurricane Iniki, in September of 1992, was the last direct hit on Kauai. Kauai sits at the western end of the Hawaiian chain of islands and is in open water with no protection.
