The weather in Ft Lauderdale is beautiful from November to April. Temperatures are in the 70s and 80s. Summer brings high temperature and lots of humidity making many days very uncomfortable.

Most of the rain during the year falls between May and October. This coincides with the start of hurricane season on June 1st that runs until the beginning of November. Hurricanes and tropical storms often influence the weather even though they may be a long distance away. Strong thunderstorms can happen at any time during the summer months and are accompanied by heavy downpours.
