About Aruba
Aruba is a small island in the southern Caribbean Sea. It is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Originally, the island was inhabited by the Arawak people. Later, Aruba was claimed by the Spanish in 1499. Then in 1636, the Dutch took control. Today, Aruba has its own government and is known for being safe and friendly.
The island is famous for its sunny weather. On most days, skies are clear and the sun shines brightly.
Aruba is also known for its white-sand beaches. Palm Beach and Eagle Beach are two of the most visited. The calm waters are perfect for swimming or snorkeling.
In addition, many travelers enjoy windsurfing and sailing. Colorful fish and coral can be seen in the clear, warm sea. Some of the best snorkeling spots are Baby Beach and Malmok Beach.
Moreover, Aruba’s beauty goes beyond the coast. Desert landscapes and rock formations can be found inland. The Arikok National Park covers nearly 20% of the island.
