About Bermuda
Bermuda’s mild climate, that is influenced by the gulf stream, provides a nice getaway for those in the colder regions of the United States. The island is known for its wide variety of recreation such as golf, tennis, hiking and biking. In addition, there is rock climbing along the rugged coast, fishing, sailing, horseback riding and scuba diving. Bermuda has seven golf courses, and for its size, has the largest concentration per square mile of anywhere in the world. Bermuda is best known for its pink sand beaches, cultural diversity and historical significance.
The high temperature in Bermuda varies from about 70 degrees in the winter to about 85 in the summer. Water temperates range fom 65 to 85 with the peak occuring in August. Bermuda does sit in a pathway for hurricanes that occur from June through November but often receives protection from the large coral reef that surrounds the island. The building codes are also very strict and the quality and strength of the construction provide protection even when a large storm hits.
