Kaanapali Beach Webcam

Situated along the western coast of Maui, Kaanapali beach is a tropical oasis beloved by travelers seeking sun and sand.

The beach is about 3 miles long and has pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters.  This side of the island generally has small waves.  This makes Kaanapali beach perfect for families.  As a result, it is usually safe for swimming for all skill levels.

Kaanapali beach also has some of the best snorkeling on the island.  The coral reef is just a few feet offshore.

There are several world class resorts that call Kaanapali beach home. For example, the Sheraton Maui, the Westin Maui Resort & Spa, and the Hyatt Regency are just a few of the upscale resorts that line the shores.

I addition, the surrounding area offers even more opportunities to explore.

Take a scenic hike on the the nearby Kaanapali Coastal Trail.  Hike the Kapalua trail that takes you alongside rocky bluffs. Tee off at one of the championship golf courses that dot the island.  Alternately, take a snorkeling excursion and discover the marine life beneath the surface.

Kaanapali is located on the drier, western side of the island.  This area sees more sun that area other area on the island.

Winds typically blow from land to sea.  As a result, the waters are generally protected and calm.

Temperatures are mild.  In the winter the average highs are in the 70s.  Summer sees the mid 80s.  Rarely does it ever get above 90 degrees.  Conversely, low temperatures rarely get below 60.
